List of Upcoming Entrance Exams in 2018 India

In this hyper competitive market, it’s the desire of every student to get admission in best colleges and universities of the country. So that when they pass out as graduates they have an attractive job offer in their hands and kick start their career in reputed corporates.

While most of the Government Aided Colleges/ Universities consider the marks of common entrance test like AIIMS, JEE Mains, JEE Advance conducted across the country, some of the universities conduct their own exams for providing admissions each fiscal year. Let’s have a look on these exams and the universities:

  • JEE MAINS: Joint Entrance Examination. This exam is considered as one of the world’s toughest examination. This examination is organized in 2 phase Mains & Advance. The score of these exams are used as evaluation for admission in National Institute of Technology’s (NIT’s), Indian Institute of Technology (IIT’s) and other colleges designated as Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (CFTI).

Eligibility:

#             Candidates must be qualified with 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board.

#             From 2017 Adhard has been made as mandatory document of Identification used to attempt the exam.

#             Nationality: Candidates must be Indian Citizen.

NRIs, PIOs, OCIs & Foreign national candidates can also apply.

#             No. of attempts Permissible: 3

  • GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) is test conducted by Indian Institute of Science and seven IIT’s on behalf of national Coordination Board, Deptt. Of Higher Education, Minister of Human Resources Development & Government of India.

Eligibility: Students with Bachelor’s degree holders in Engineering / Technology / Architecture (4 years after 10+2/ Post-B.Sc./ Post-Diploma) and currently in the final year of such programs.

# Students with Master’s degree holders in any branch of Science/Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Applications or equivalent and those who are in the final year of such programs.

#             Students with in second or higher year of Four-year integrated master’s degree programs (Post-B.Sc.) in Engineering / Technology.

#             Students in the 4th or Dual Degree Master’s programs in Engineering / Technology.

#             Students with qualifications equivalent to B.E./B.Tech.

Purpose:

#             The GATE score is used for getting entrance in Post-Graduation Programs in Indian Institutes.

#             Various Public Sector Companies recruiting Engineers.

  • All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS): AIIMS is the ranked at the top amongst all the Medical Colleges in the Country. AIIMS MBBS is the Under Graduate Entrance Examination conducted Nationwide for admission in MBBS course. The exam is conducted in 2 slots across the country, The exam duration is of 3 hours and 30 minutes through online mode having objective pattern based on following pattern :

# Subjects: No. of questions

Physics: 60

Chemistry: 60

General knowledge: 10

Botany and Zoology: 60

Aptitude and logical thinking: 10

Eligibility:

#     Candidates must be qualified with 10+2 or equivalent equivalent with English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as subject

#     Nationality: Candidates must be Indian Citizen.

#     NRIs, PIOs, OCIs & Foreign national candidates can also apply.
